At the behest of a friend I was persuaded to revisit The Horrors Primary Colours album, and I have to say I was won over, and so I was extoling (that is what one does, right? Extol? Comments, below.) it's virtues the other day, and I was told to check these guys out. Hailing from London, like all things great and good, this 4-piece are experimental, without being mental, fusing noise and melody, to create something remarkable.
When I first heard them, I could see why my mate had recommended them. They do have similarities to the Horrors, but for me have a bit more melody, which I think makes them a bit more accessible. I've found this sniTch remix of their new single which I'm really enjoying, giving the original a bit more of a warmer glow. It's particluarly good after 103 seconds.
